Almost New Year

Sorry I haven't blogged in an absolute age. We have been so busy. A load of gigs happened in 2011. So much to do, so little time!
The band are playing in Birkenhead on New Years Eve 2011. Should be a great gig. The band wish everyone a great 2012.

Great old village hall and ideal for barn dances. The lads had a great time and the audience were great. We played for Alderley Edge Hockey Club. A big thanks to the organisers.

Mardi Gras - Blackpool. What a great event.

The band would like to thank everyone at the Mardi Gras club for making us all feel so welcome. What a great night it was.

Devil's Fire are once again playing at the Margi Gras club Blackpool on monday 26th Sept 2011. If it is half as much fun as last year we are in for a great time again.

Wedding Barn Dance at Pott Shrigley

Devil's Fire would like to thank the bride and groom Dasha and Alex for their splendid hospitality at last night's gig (3rd Sept 2011) at Shrigley Hall Hotel. All the guests danced their hearts out and the band had a great night. The revellers danced the remainder of the night away to a disco.

Birthday Barn Dance in Woodford, Cheshire

We are playing at Woodford Community Centre at a birthday bash tonight (Friday 12th Aug 2011). Hopefully I will have some pics to show later.

Party and Barn Dance - Warrington 2011

Below is a thank you letter from the organisers of a barn dance in Warrington:

"We had an amazing day.  The band is fantastic and we had a right laugh, they were so patient with us! 

We started with a heavy downpour which was good since it got all the kids under the gazebo so they had to join in at the start!  Then, the weather got progressively better. We've had lots of great feedback from our friends too.  Lots of them said it was the best day of their lives!   We'd have all danced more but we were shattered, but we were able to listen to the band in between.  It was perfect.  We were able to have a good relax and quenched our thirsts later on!

Fundraising Hoedown - Tabley, Cheshire 2011

 Devil's Fire had a great time in Tabley, near Knutsford in Cheshire. We played in a barn (yes, barn dance bands do occasionally play in real barns). The event was a birthday party, but a nice side effect was to also raise money for "Help for Heroes" - over £1400 WAS RAISED ON THE NIGHT. Chris the organiser is hoping to do it all again soon.
